Advanced Data Analysis

SIMPROCESS comes with two data analysis tools that extend the ability to conduct statistical data analysis: ModelFit and ExpertFit.

ModelFit provides automated fitting of distributions from sample data. It is used with the SIMPROCESS Auto Fits feature (see “Auto Fits Distributions” in the User's Manual )

The ExpertFit tool:

• Increases the accuracy of experiments
• Decreases the time to find the solution to the problem
• Provides a statistical software tool tailored to the statistical simulation environment
• Provides a unique graphical user interface
• Performs data analysis
• Models random processes

ExpertFit is used to analyze data and construct a data model of the random process that generated the data. An introduction to the statistical background for data analysis and data modeling is provided in the following section of the User's Manual, “An Introduction to Data Analysis and Modeling.”
